Details of Kannankurichi library
Built up area : 5570 sq.m
Site comprises of a library and park .Since no library found in the vicinity, One is required for all age groups.Volume of 30,000 books are provided for around 65,000 people with entry and exit. Library is designed with a dome, to bring the effect of massiveness and thus preserving
it's quality. Landscape is provided within the building to interact with nature and to create a positive vibe. Interiors have wooden furniture and book shelves due to its strength, durability and aesthetic effect.
The plan of the library has been done in a way in which different kind of users could easily access and be comfortable with the environment. library has two different floors, upper floor is used as digital library.
Interior
Interior of the library is mostly done with wooden finishing , which increases the quality of the space. There is a circular seating area around the landscape which is directly under the dome, which makes the space exotic.
